INTRODUCTION:
The study is to evaluate the calcium:phosphorus loss from the enamel surface following bleaching with 35%hydrogen peroxide and reversal with antioxidants- 10% sodium ascorbate, 10% green tea and 5% oregano, using energy dispersive x-ray analysis.
METHODOLOGY:
40 non carious, freshly extracted human permanent maxillary central incisors without any visible effects were used in this study and were bleached with 35% H2O2 and divided in to 4 groups:
Group 1: Control group
Group 2: Treated with 10%sodium ascorbate
Group 3: Treated with 10%green tea
Group 4: Treated tooth with 5% oregano
The mineral content of each specimen after reversal was measured using EDAX analysis
SUMMARY OF RESULTS:
To be concluded after the completion of the study.
